HSBC has appointed Hammad Hashmi as market head for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and Abhishek (Abhi) Mehrotra as market head for SEA International.

Both Hashmi and Mehrotra, as the new Asean and Australia co-market heads, will be reporting to Tommy Leung, head of global private banking for South Asia.

In terms of coverage, Hashmi will lead and manage the desk heads and relationship managers covering Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Mehrotra will lead and manage the desk heads and relationship managers covering the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and Australia.
