Real estate consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Emily Relf as head of living sectors for Asia-Pacific.

In the newly created role, Relf will lead the expansion of the firm’s capabilities in the living sectors in the region and advise outbound capital from the region into the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.

According to Knight Frank, living sectors will account for one-third of direct real estate investment globally by 2030. About 47% of the firm’s clients see the living sector as their primary focus for investment over the next three years.

Relf will also be responsible for strengthening Knight Frank’s partnership with Berkadia – a leader in commercial real estate and one of Knight Frank’s US-based partners, focusing on executing significant capital market initiatives in the US.

She will also work closely with the firm’s team in Australia to grow a network of local partners while identifying new opportunities, particularly in the Australian build-to-rent market, which is set to become a critical part of the rental market over the next decade.

Based in Singapore, Relf will report to Neil Brookes, global head for capital markets.
