Looking to diversify its sources of funding, Malaysian cocoa manufacturer Guan Chong last year braved the uncertain capital markets at the time, executing a 300 million-ringgit wakala sukuk as part of the company’s 800 million-ringgit Islamic medium-term notes issuance.
