Grant Thornton Singapore adds risk advisory partner
Emily Lai has over 17 years of risk advisory experience in several industries

Professional services firm Grant Thornton Singapore has appointed Emily Lai as its first partner in its business risk advisory practice, enhancing the firm’s ability to provide clients with business risk advisory expertise in the financial services sector.

Lai, who has over 17 years of risk advisory experience in several industries, previously worked in Big Four accounting firms in the United States, Australia, Greater China and the Asean region where she has led many large projects that helped companies transform risk and compliance into opportunities to drive sustainable value.

David Sandison, practice leader, at Grant Thornton Singapore, says:  “Lai’s wealth of experience and strong evaluative skills will help our client’s businesses achieve improvements in business outcomes, risk management and internal controls.

The firm also named Adrian Sham, who join its London team in 2005, as a partner of employer solutions and private clients in its tax advisory practice.
